Jesse Lemieux Educator and Designer Jesse Lemieux spent the impressionable years of his life exploring the remaining watershed streams of the upper Nicomekl River in Langley BC. Building upon lessons from childhood, adolescent adventures went further afield taking advantage of Western Canada's vast natural areas. These experiences established a true and unwavering reverence for the natural world within Jesse. Harnessing his keen interest in natural systems, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Victoria. Upon leaving University he spent the formative years of his life at Misty Meadow nursery. It was at Misty Meadow Nursery, while learning the fundamentals of perennial plant propagation, production grafting, and farm management, that a passion for agricultural systems took root. Following a brief period operating heavy machinery, in the field of environmental reclamation, Jesse went on to Pursue Permaculture full-time. Jesse's thorough training in Permaculture included two permaculture design certificates (PDC), under the instruction of both Geoff Lawton and Bill Mollison and intensive hands on practice at the Permaculture Research Institute. Jesse's Practical work experience in Permaculture has been undertaken in Western Canada, Australia and the Middle East. In September 2008 Jesse his wife Tanya founded Pacific Permaculture, a permaculture design and education company.
